So many beers, So little time… Funky Buddha has just brewed up an awesome Porter that drinks like “Breakfast in a Bottle.” We’ll have more on that for you – plus we’ve some interesting new releases from Breakside and Victory Brewing that you’ll want to check out.
Ninkasi Exposes Itself (Eugene, OR) – Ninkasi has released a new seasonal that harkens back to the World’s Fair that was held in Brussels back in ’58. Ninkasi Expo 58 is a 5% ABV ale that’s similar to a Belgian Tripel – but much lower in alcohol. It’s got a biscuity backbone, a floral aroma, and a Belgian yeast shine – and it’s out there now – so you know what to do.
Tropical Tones (Portland, OR) – Breakside Brewery is suggesting we take a break from the winter and they’ve brewed something special to make sure we do. Breakside Tropicalia is a 6% ABV Belgian Farmhouse-style ale that departs from tradition and is brewed with lychee fruit and Peruvian peppers. Tropicalia is the first in their new Fruit and Funk Series – look for five more of these exotics to roll out in the coming months.
Sexual Healing (Winston-Salem, NC) – One of Foothills Brewing’s most popular releases is coming out on January 31st – so be ready. Foothills Sexual Chocolate Imperial Stout is a 9.75% ABV blast of cocoa, molasses, espresso, toffee, and awesomeness -and it’s worthy of its immense reputation.
Cheers to 19 (Downingtown, PA) – Each year, Victory Brewing whips up a new beer to celebrate their anniversary. And on their 19th time around, they’re slowing things down. Victory Anniversary 19 is a tropical, 4.5% ABV session IPA with big Simcoe, Chinook, and Citra hop flavors and manageable buzz.
Sweet!!!!!!! (Oakland Park, FL) – Funky Buddha recently rolled out a special release that’s like having breakfast in a bottle. Funky Buddha Maple Coffee Porter is all that and more – a 6.4% ABV complex Porter with a multitude of flavors at play.It’s sweet, sassy, and roasty…And it’s out there now on draft and in 22 oz. bombers.
