Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For
So many beers, So little time… West Sixth Brewing is putting their money where your mouth is…We’ve that story for you plus other cool new releases from Saint Arnold and Lakewood Brewing that you’ll want to chase down!

False Start (Seattle, WA) – The Redhook Brewery is not ashamed to admit that they’ve made a “false start – in fact, they’re championing it. Redhook False Start Session IPA was brewed especially for Seattle’s sports fans to enjoy from tailgate to kick-off to post-win celebration. This 4.0% ABV draft-only release will hit Washington state taps this month.
Pay It Forward (Lexington, KY) – West Sixth Brewing announced today the newest addition to their year-round line and they’ll be canning it starting in September. West Sixth Pay It Forward Cocoa Porter is a robust 7% ABV American Porterbrewed with organic, direct-trade cocoa nibs (whatever that means) and a portion of its sales go back to the community. In order to live up to its name, Pay it Forward, the brewery has committed to giving $.50 per 6-pack to a local nonprofit doing great work in the area the beer was sold.
Lakewood Claims the Lion’s Share (Dallas, TX) -Two years ago on August 4, one of our favorites, Lakewood Brewing Company, sold its very first keg of beer. Thousands of barrels later, the brewery will commemorate two great years with a draft-only release of their second anniversary ale. Lakewood Lion’s Share II is a sessionable and refreshing wine barrel-aged Berliner Weisse brewed with black currants. Black currants have been used for centuries in Belgian brewing, but are rarely seen in American beers, so this is very cool.
