Goosing Things Up in the Windy City (Chicago, IL) – There’s an exciting new dry-hopped limited release coming that’s part of Goose Island’s Imperial Series. The Ogden is a 9% ABV Belgian Style Tripel brewed with Citra, Brewers Gold, and Saaz hops. Its name pays homage to Chicago’s first mayor, William B. Ogden, who also opened the city’s first brewery. Look for The Ogden in 12 oz. bottle 4-packs beginning on May 5.
Looking to Oz for Inspiration (Brooklyn, NY) – The Brooklyn Brewery has just announced the next beer in its Brewmaster’s Reserve Series, and it’s coming out next month. A collaboration between the Brooklyn Brewery and Australia’s Mountain Goat Beer, Ridgy-Didge is a 8.4% ABV Australian influenced Saison that’s brewed using Tasmanian pepperberry and lemon myrtle.
Ninkasi Takes A Road Less Travelled (Eugene, OR) – Commonly known for its big, hoppy Northwest ales, Ninkasi Brewing took a road less travelled in 2011 and are now releasing the latest in their Prismatic Lager Series. Ninkasi Lux is the brewery’s take on the German-Style Helles, which was allowed to lager for eight weeks in Ninkasi’s cellar until it reached optimal drinkability.Available for the first time, Lux can now be found in 12 oz. bottles and on draft through August.
Smoking Hot (Escondido, CA) – The Stone Brewing Company has a smoking hot release coming out the first week in May that you want to be ready for. Stone Smoked Porter with Chipotle Peppers is a deep and roasty 5.8% ABV play on their classic Porter that sports some heat in its finish.
Free Styling (Santa Fe, NM) – Santa Fe Brewing Company has just announced the 2014 release of its popular summer seasonal and we’re pretty damned excited about it! Santa Fe Freestyle Pilsner is the brewery’s Southwestern reinterpretation of the classic German style. This award-winning Pilsner is aggressively hopped and lagered leisurely and will be available for a limited time to both draft and retail accounts in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and Nevada.
