Summer is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the season with intriguing new offerings you’re gonna want to have around.
Blue-Buried (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders Brewing has a new addition to its popular KBS Coffee Stout line that you’re gonna need to chase down. Balanced yet decadent, Founders KBS Blueberry is an 11.2% ABV Imperial Coffee Stout with sweet blueberry and coffee tones that are offset by a slight coffee bitterness.
“KBS Blueberry allows the existing premium coffee and chocolate notes to soar to new heights,” Founders Brewing Company Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki said. “The flavors of vanilla and chocolate with sweet blueberry are really complimentary to the bourbon and coffee notes that you’d expect from KBS, creating a fun new twist on a classic.”

The Perfect Wave (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing has returned a poplar seasonal that the brewery first introduced in 2022. Brimming with big tropical flavors thanks to a generous menu of Vic Secret and Citra hops, AleSmith Funwave Hazy IPA is a 7.3% ABV limited release with bright pineapple, passionfruit and mango notes that inform but never overpower.

Sierra Nevada Goes to the Flip-Side! (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada has returned a retired classic that’s exclusively this summer along with other past favorites in the brewery’s appropriately named Fan Favorites Pack. Built on a sturdy base of pale, caramel, and chocolate malts, Sierra Nevada Flipside Red IPA is a 6.2% ABV malt-forward India Pale Ale that’s brightened considerably by whole-cone additions Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial hops.
