May is ON and American craft brewers are welcoming the warmer weather with an exciting new roster of beers (this time all-lagers) that you’re gonna want to have around.
Truck This! (Corvallis, OR) – Block 15 Brewing has a new addition to its “Lagered by the Sun Series, a program, representing the brewery’s commitment to sustainable brewing practices by sourcing local and regional ingredients, and utilizing solar energy in the lagering process.
Crafted primarily with Pure Idaho Pilsner malt, a 100% Idaho-grown barley from Great Western Malting, and Contessa hops a US-grown variety with Noble hop characteristics developed in Yakima Valley, Block 15 Green Truck is an approachable 4.2% ABV American Light Lager, brewed with all- Pacific Northwest grains, hops, and water.
“We are excited that our Green Truck American Light Lager is ready to join our year-round perpetual offerings after a year of testing and evolution,” said Nick Arzner, Co-Owner and Founding Brewer at Block 15. “The beer highlights our brewery’s regional sustainability efforts, and our fans appreciate its easy-drinking ABV.
Shape-Shifter (Brooklyn, NY) – Threes Brewing, the Brooklyn-based craft brewery known for its innovative approach and commitment to quality, has a new addition to its new Seasonal Lager Series, that with the weather warming is right on time. Threes Shapeless Days is a 5% ABV summer seasonal from a brewery renowned for its lagers.
“Our brewing team has created over 100 different lagers since we opened, but we’ve consistently heard from customers that they appreciate having staples they can return to,” said Matt Levy, Director of Production at Threes Brewing. “This seasonal program gives us the best of both worlds – we can offer fresh experiences throughout the year while maintaining the consistency that builds long-term relationships with our drinkers.”
