America loves its IPAs and American craft brewers are welcoming the warmer weather with a new roster of India Pale Ales you’re gonna want to have around as things warm up.
Redefining IPAs In The Craft Beer Capitol (Denver, CO) – Founded as a side-project by Christopher O’Connor after years of experience brewing at Prost Brewing Company (where he still is Prost’s Vice President of Operations), Broken Hops Brewing is reinventing the beer experience using classic German lager brewing processes including endosperm mashing, decoction, open fermentation, extended lagering and natural carbonation.
And two of its uber-interesting creations are hitting retail this month….
Smooth and easy drinking, but jacked with hop flavor and bitterness, Broken Hop West Coast IPA is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale with the mouthfeel of a lager, but the hop character of a west coast IPA. And Broken Hops Hazy IPA is 7.3% ABV juice bomb with a light bitterness and big peach, strawberry, citrus and stone fruit notes.
“Broken Hops is a brewery focused on old world practices and their impact on modern styles. said O’Connor. “I created Broken Hops to showcase my love for German brewing principles, looking to the past for inspiration on what the future of IPAs could be. “Our focus is singular—hop-forward beers

Spring Forward ( Breckenridge, CO) –Breckenridge Brewery has a new addition to its roster beer that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Brewed to be enjoyed throughout winter’s chill and into the season of renewal, Breckenridge Spring Forward Grapefruit IPA is a 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale that balances bold grapefruit and zesty citrus flavors with just the right level of hop-driven bitterness.
“We aimed to craft a beer that feels like a breath of fresh air,” said Carl Heinz, Brewmaster at Breckenridge Brewery. “With its bold, juicy character and the dry hopping of Amarillo, Cascade, and Citra hops, this IPA offers a refreshing taste that enthusiasts can savor all year long.”
Born In Northern California (Sausalito, CA) – With more craft breweries than ever before, brewing serious non-alcoholic beer, ACB has expanded our coverage to include new NA beers that matter. And Best Day Brewing has a West Coast IPA that absolutely nails the style.
Brimming with classic Cascade hops that add a subtle bite to the beer’s finish, Best Day Brewing’s buzz-free West Coast IPA could not be more convincing. And we promise you you’ll never find a more flavorful non-alcoholic IPA with only 68 calories.
