November is ON and American brewers are addressing things with an intriguing roster of beers you’re gonna want to have around as things cool down.
Winter’s Coming (Northglenn, CO) – Prost Brewing Co. is a Colorado craft brewery renowned for its award-winning biergarten-style biers that are brewed authentically with sustainably sourced German-grown hops and malts that are hand-selected for quality. And with winter nearing they’ve returned a cold weather classic.
Sporting aromatics reminiscent of winter spices and toasted chestnuts and walnuts, Prost Winter Lager is a balanced and approachable 6% ABV Bock-Style Lager with a malty, toasty character and a clean, crisp finish.
“It’s a pleasure to craft this type of traditional bier style, which has an interesting history,” Prost Brewing Co. president David Deline said. “Because of their robust character, bock-style lagers were once brewed as sustenance for monks during times of fasting. It’s as fantastic today as it was in the 13th century.”
Prost Brewing crafts its Winter Lager at the Northglenn brewing headquarters on an authentische (“authentic”) Kaspar Schulz brewing system imported from Germany, blending traditional German brewing methods with modern innovations.
