Fall is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the season with an intriguing roster of new beers you’re gonna want to have around as things cool down.

Patagonia & Deschutes Craft Earth-Friendly Beer (Bend, OR) – In an effort to scale organic and Regenerative Organic Certified ingredients, Patagonia Provisions, the food and beverage business of outdoor apparel company Patagonia, has been championing a beer using a special earth-friendly grain.

And now Deschutes Brewery has joined other renowned breweries like Allagash Brewing Company, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Odell Brewing, Rhinegeist Brewery, and partnered with Patagonia Provisions to create two new brews using the game-changing grain.

Wildly drinkable at 4.7% ABV Patagonia Provisions x Deschutes Kernza Lager is brimming with light floral and lemon note that are complemented by Kernza’s subtle earthy herbal character. And Patagonia Provisions x Deschutes Non-Alcoholic Kernza Golden Brew contains the same high-quality organic ingredients and the same great flavor as Kernza Lager but without the alcohol. Both beers are being brewed using organic practices at Deschutes’ brewery in Bend, Oregon, in a continuation of their pioneering efforts to use responsibly sourced organic ingredients (Deschutes was one of the first breweries to produce a certified organic beer in 2007).

Pumpkin Patched ( Milton, DE) – Dogfish Head Craft Brewery’s fall seasonal pumpkin ale, which they’ve been brewing since 1995, debuted as part of a legendary southern Delaware pumpkin extravaganza, Punkin Chunkin and has made a welcome annual appearance ever since then.

Part of the 2024 Art Series, Dogfish Head Punkin Ale is a sweet, sassy and pumpkin and spice-toned, 7% ABV Brown Ale that’s complex and robust, yet unassuming at the same time.

“One of my favorite moments of the year is cracking open a Punkin Ale right after Labor Day is in the rearview mirror. It’s crazy to think that’s been happening for 30 years now,” said Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head Founder & Brewer.  “As our longest commercially distributed brew, it’s always heartwarming to see folks’ excitement for Punkin Ale’s annual return.”
