Miller High Life is famous for their dive bar promotions but they are upscaling things with a new partnership with renowned chocolatier Phillip Ashley – the man behind Phillip Ashley Chocolates.
Considered one of America’s premier chocolatiers, Ashley’s love of the Champagne of Beers (and his appreciation of the classic dive bar) served as the inspiration behind this limited-edition line of gourmet chocolate truffles that toast the flavors and memories made in dive bars everywhere.
And, even better, every artisan chocolate truffle in this collection is infused with Miller High Life beer.
“I have great memories of Miller High Life, and one of my favorites is pairing it with a grilled cheese, so that was the jumping off point for this collection,” Ashley, who got his start selling his high-end chocolates out of the back of his car in Memphis, told Beer & Beyond.
Starting May 2, which just happens to be National Truffle Day (is there a National Day for everything?), legal-age consumers can purchase six-packs of the Miller High Life Bar Snack Truffles to get a taste of Ashley’s sweet spin on savory dive-bar snacks.
The Miller High Life Bar Snacks Truffles come in six unusual flavors:
Grilled Cheese – My favorite to pair with a smooth High Life! Decadent triple cream cheese white chocolate ganache in a blond chocolate shell. A toasted toast to the everyday celebrations like a perfect cheese pull enjoyed on a bar stool
Lemon Pepper Chicken Wing – An innovative fried chicken ganache infused with lemon pepper seasoning. A lemon, pepper twist on your average chicken wing (and with less grease on your High Life bottle).
Pretzel Praline – Salted pretzel and roasted pecans combined with handcrafted caramel and blonde chocolate to make the ultimate sweet and salty bite. Sweet, salty and timeless, just like the pretzel bag you enjoyed at the jukebox.
Beernut – Freshly roasted peanuts soaked in the Champagne of Beers then ground into our fragrant beernut butter and enrobed in a milk chocolate shell.
Buttery Popcorn – White chocolate ganache infused with movie theatre style popcorn. An ode to the buttery, salty goodness of the popcorn machine at your favorite local dive.
Sweet Potato Fry – Garnett sweet potato mash blended with blonde chocolate for a sweet and savory bon bon.
“How do we capture the sensory experience of a bar? What flavors evoke that experience of enjoying a High Life with your friends at your favorite spot? That’s what we set out to do with this Miller High Life collaboration, “Ashley added. “And we ended up with some pretty amazing results.”
