Incoming

Anheuser-Busch has pledged to cascade cans of its Busch Light Apple to earth from a helicopter at top secret locations in the Northeast and Midwest. And as much as we like stupid beer promotions we have concerns…

In 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns, Anheuser-Busch introduced Busch Light Apple, the brand’s first flavor innovation ever. Maybe it was because of pandemic panic and people were drinking anything, or maybe the brewery just nailed it, but whatever the reason Busch Light Apple sold out quickly.

And now Busch is returning its apple “core” limited release with a sky-high promotion that’s a little hard to envision how they’re gonna pull off.

Run!

In July Busch plans to airdrop several pallets of its apple-flavored beer during helicopter fly-overs in top secret locations around the United States. And fans can enter a social media competition for the chance to find out the co-ordinates and intercept the free haul that will literally fall from the sky.

That’s assuming things don’t get smashed to bits. After all an airdrop is an air-DROP otherwise the world’s largest brewing, who can certainly afford these kinds of promotions, would have billed this thing as an air-delivery…no?

“With hype continuing to grow around this year’s drop, we wanted to do something unforgettable that offered fans insider access like never before,  said Daniel Blake, Group VP, Budweiser & Value at Anheuser-Busch, “and also give a few lucky fans a chance at the first batches of Apple just in time for the 4th of July.”

In order to score a spot to see one of the very first cans of Busch Light Apple dropped via helicopter, all fans need to do is comment on Busch’s social posts with #BuschLightAppleDrop and #Sweepstakes from June 21st through June 30th, 2021 and Busch will provide select individuals with insider access to the drop location nearest them.

Unfortunately protective helmets will not be afforded the lucky winners, so that’s on you. You’ll also have to 21 years or older to enter or have a convincing fake ID…so there’s that too.
