Evil Twin Opens Brewery in NYC

Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, a famous gypsy brewer, has finally open the doors to his own brewery in Ridgewood, Queens, and New York City is buzzing about it.

Located approximately 10 miles southwest of his estranged brother’s brewery (Mikkel’s Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, another famed gypsy brewer who is also in Queens) Evil Twin’s new brick-and-mortar brewery is a striking greenhouse and patio space complete with communal tables, 20 active tapelines, a 1977 Chevy Nova and boho style to spare.

What Evil Twin’s Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø brews at new 15-barrel brewery, which he founded along with his wife/partner, Maria, will stay in-house. Although, as he explained to Tara Nurin at Forbes, “if a style does particularly well he’ll send it out to his distribution network of 35 states and 35 countries. He’ll continue to contract brew the rest at Two Roads Brewing in Connecticut and at Westbrook Brewing in South Carolina.”

Moon Dog Opens Trippy New Brewery & Bar

Launched in 2010, Moon Dog Craft Brewery has opened a huge new brewery and a trippy taproom venue on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia that is capable of brewing more than 10 million liters of beer per year.

But the massive new brewery itself is just the beginning….

Moon Dog World (and in this case ‘world’ is the right word) includes an enormous taproom and restaurant space capable of holding up to 725 beer lovers, complete with 72 taps, a beer garden, a hidden tiki bar, an inside lagoon and waterfall.  Yikes.

New Rooftop Brewery to Open with Spectacular Hudson Valley View

Described by WPDH as “a game changer for the Hudson Valley’s brewing scene,” Zeus Brewing is scheduled to open next month. And this rooftop buzz-worthy brewery is opening in a spectacular setting.

Part of a low-cost artist housing and retail space being built in Poughkeepsie, NY, Zeus Brewing will take over the bottom floor of one section of the new Main Street complex, as well as the rooftop.

Zeus Brewing will be helmed by Amit Ram whose considerable experience spans a decade that includes stints at Newburgh Brewing and, most recently, as head brewer for the Peekskill Brewery.
