Few brewing companies have the media savvy of BrewDog. They understand that their bond with fans is sacred. And as big as they’ve become they still stand for things that matter… like the concept that “business can be a force for good.”

Like other breweries around the world, Ellon, Scotland-headquartered BrewDog has been severely impacted by COVID-19.

BrewDog co-founder James Watt recently revealed that his company lost 70% of its revenue overnight due to the fast spreading pandemic. But they refuse to be bowed, lose their passion for the beers, or their commitment to their fans and community.

And here’s a number of things they’ve been doing, both bold and fun, to lend a hand and keep spirits up amid the global pandemic…

BrewDog Hand Sanitizer

BrewDog has already made and donated over £1m worth of BrewDog Sanitizer to health care charities, key frontline workers and hospitals. And even after their first batch was rejected by the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, they just smiled and got it right.

BrewDog’s Columbus brewery has also produced hand sanitizers that is being donated to US health care charities as well as police officers & fire fighters in Ohio.

In support of health workers battling COVID-19, BrewDog released the NHS Heroes Pack. They’ve already sold thousands online and 100% of its profits goes straight to the NHS Heroes charity.

BrewDog Founders Waive Salaries in 2020

To help to protect as many jobs at BrewDog as possible, many of their senior team have volunteered to take pay cuts. And that includes James Watt and his co-founder Martin Dickie, who announced that they will be waiving their salaries for the rest of 2020.
