Coors Brewing is celebrating its 15O year legacy with an ongoing campaign that that captures Americans starting their own legacy, in this case a singer-song writer charting his own course from small bars to sold out arenas.

Here’s the deal…

When one thinks Coors, more times than not, its flagship Coors Light brand comes to mind. That’s not surprising, after all it’s the fourth bestselling beer in America, and has been for a while.

But there’s another Coors brand with a rich western heritage, Coors Banquet Beer, which has been brewed exclusively in Colorado for almost 150 years.

Originally brewed for Colorado gold and silver miners to enjoy after a hard day’s work, Coors Banquet has been a part of history and pop culture for a century and a half.

The iconic stubby bottle was even smuggled across the country before it became available east of the Mississippi in 1981. A known favorite among rock stars, actors, cowboys and presidents, Coors Banquet honors the same brewing tradition since its start 150 years ago

And now Coors Banquet, has dropped the latest iteration of its successful “Start Your Legacy” campaign that that tells the story of singer-song writer charting his own course from small bars to sold out arenas.

The new film is called “Legacy Grows.” And it follows a songwriter composing a song by himself at home. The next scene shows him tentatively testing the song out in a small local bar, before cutting again to him playing in front of a large festival crowd. It’s short, clear-headed and beautifully filmed.

According to Senior Marketing Manager Alyssa Lynner, the new campaign is rooted in the 150+ years it has spent in Golden, Colorado, while encouraging people to take those difficult first steps towards building their own legacies.

“The ad shows the grit and perseverance it takes to start a legacy. We want to use our own legacy to inspire others,” Lynner added. “We’re saying, ‘You just need to take that first step.’ We think that this can resonate with a lot of people.”

In conjunction with this new video, Coors Banquet has released three “Legacy Collection” cans featuring designs inspired by the brand’s Golden, Colorado roots, its historic brewery signifying its founding in 1873, and the Rocky Mountain water so integral to its recipe. The limited-time packaging is available for all 12-ounce can packs and 24-ounce single cans.

And Coors Banquet has even more planned for the rest of 2025 to commemorate it’s legacy….

“Expect more from our amazing partnerships throughout 2025, including with Wrangler,” Lynner added. “We’ll continue to fuel Coors Banquet’s momentum by doing what we’ve always done – staying true to our roots.”
