Ninkasi Brewing To Open New Outlet in Washington State (Eugene, OR) – Oregon-based Ninkasi Brewing, the 35th largest craft brewery in the country, will be crossing state lines and opening a new venue In Tumwater, Washington.

Ninkasi Brewing has signed on as a key partner in the new “Craft District” in Tumwater, Washington, the original home of Olympia Brewing, which closed its doors in 2003. According to a Ninkasi press release ‘The vision of the center is to bring a team of regional and industry experts to create a hub focused on craft brewing and distillation education, research, workforce development, and public information. As well as be a gathering spot in Washington for the craft brewing and distilling industries.”

What is less clear is whether the new outlet will be a straight-ahead pub or an actual brewing facility (perhaps they’ve not yet decided). But we suspect that the eventual location will involve some brewing especially since Ninkasi has pledged to collaborate with South Puget Sound Community College on an educational program.

Words To Drink By (Eugene, OR) -“We are thrilled to be part of such a collaborative project. Given the historic brewing legacy of the area, having a space to host Ninkasi fans in Washington, where Ninkasi has been distributed for a long time is very exciting for us,.” Nikos Ridge, Ninkasi co-Founder and CEO…

Ninkasi has been generating a lot of news in 2019. In April it sold a majority stake in the company to Legacy Breweries/EPR Properties and that the brewery would be evolving into a “CANarchy” like operation and looking for new breweries to join them.

The ” Busch Guy”

Mark Twain National Forest Revealed As The “Secret Location” of Busch Pop-up Shop (Missouri) – Busch sponsored a secret pop-up scavenger hunt in an undisclosed National Forest location over the weekend, where one lucky winner could win free beer for life, as well as hang with the “Busch Guy” and they tweeted out clues via Twitter all week.

The first two clues revealed that the pop-up was located in a National Forest in Missouri. And given that clues #3 and #4 are from author Mark Twain, they made it pretty clear that secret location was in Mark Twain National Forest, an hour and a half from the Anheuser Busch brewery in St. Louis, Missouri.
