November is ON and American brewers are addressing things with an intriguing roster of beers you’re gonna want to have around as things cool down.

Autumnal Drinking (Vista, CA & Nampa, ID) -Mother Earth Brew Co has an uber-interesting addition of their “The Four Seasons of Mother Earth” series  that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Traditionally, Four Seasons (as it’s called for short), is a big, barrel-aged stout or barleywine for ¾ of the program, with a collab filling in the warmer summer months, but Mother Earth deviated a bit this fall.

Available now in 16oz cans as well as on draft, Mother Earth Four Seasons Autumn 24 is an approachable 5.9% ABV Oak-Aged German Lager with subtle notes of honey, toasted bread, and just a touch of malt sweetness.

“Using virgin, medium-toast oak casks, we laid down our German Festbier just long enough to pick-up some mild oak tannins,” said Matt Waterson, Head Brewer at Mother Earth. “Noble hop varietals lend an appropriate earthy and herbal characteristic to a complex, yet highly drinkable lager.”

Not Born Yesterday (Petaluma, CA) – Like the many pumpkin ales and Oktoberfest releases, fresh hop brews are another welcome addition to the fall season. And happily Lagunitas has returned something special.

A fresh-hopped variation of their popular Dogtown Pale, using fresh-picked hop cones from the Yakima Valley that were transported overnight in refrigerated trucks and immediately dropped in the brew vat,  Lagunitas Born Yesterday Fresh Hop Ale is a 7.2% ABV, lupulin-drenched and un-kilned take on a classic.

Don’t Forget To Wave (Montauk, NY) – Montauk Brewing, one of the fastest-selling craft breweries in Metro New York that just happens to be owned by a Canadian cannabis company, has a popular year-round offering that’s one of the best things they do. Crafted with a smart menu of Chinook, Azacca, Columbus and El Dorado hops, Montauk Wave Chaser IPA is a 6.4% ABV India Pale Ale that never disappoints.
