Beer Alert: New Lemon Blonde Ales And Fruity Hop Bombs

Summer’s coming and American craft brewers are addressing things with an intriguing roster of new releases you’re gonna want to have around as things heat up.

Lemon Aid (Waitsfield, VT) – Lawson’s Finest Liquids has a new release that was uber-popular at their taproom in 2022, went on for a  statewide run and has now been scaled up so beer lovers in nine states (Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island) can give it a try.

Brewed with an American hop menu, a mix of American and German malts, and British yeast, Lawson’s Super Lemonova is 5.1% ABV Blonde Ale w/Lemon Zest, bursting with citrusy hop notes and a subtle twist of tartness, thanks to three additions of lemons, one in the boil and two in the bright tank.

Made In Tex-Hex (Shiner, Tx) – The Spoetzl Brewery, home to the legendary Shiner Beer line has a new year-round with a smart fruit addition that’s even more perfect as things warm up. Out of a mysterious tropical lair comes La Bruja’s latest, Shiner Tex-Hex Passionfruit Hazy IPA is a 7.5% ABV India Pale Ale that is brewed with  a medley of juicy hops (Mosaic, Galaxy & Citra), cactus water, and the intensely tropical flavor of Passion Fruit and a pleasingly smooth finish that lingers.

Deschutes Nails The Non-Alc Porter (Bend, OR) – Deschutes Brewery has taken a bold step into non-alcohol brewing and returned one of their classic beers as a buzz-free variation. Crafted entirely in-house utilizing Sustainable Beverage Technologies’ BrewVo® technology in combination with Deschutes’ proprietary brewing methods, Black Butte Non-Alcoholic is a new take on the original robust porter, with the authenticity of the original but none of the baggage.
