The winter holiday season is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with a festive roster of new dark beer wonders you’re gonna want to have around.
‘Tis The Season I (San Diego, CA) – Modern Times Beer has a new limited release that should pair brilliantly with the Winter Holidays. Brewed with an expertly crafted grain bill to heighten its roasty and complex character, Modern Times Visible Ink is a 6% ABV Espresso Macaroon Stout that was crafted with toasted coconut flakes, vanilla, and Modern Times’ house-roasted coffee.
“We created this beer as an ode to our Monsters’ Park Imperial Stout, but at an easy-drinking 6.0% ABV,” said Justin Holmes, New Projects Manager. “Expect waves of coconut and coffee to grace your tasting palate, ending in a miraculous symphony of dark beer perfection.”
‘Tis The Season II (Boonville, CA) – With the nights are getting longer and the temperatures cooler, Anderson Valley Brewing has returned its own unique take on the Winter Warmer style. Boasting a deep amber hue and rich mouthfeel, Anderson Valley Winter Solstice is a 6.9% ABV seasonal ale with a deep amber hue, rich toffee, spice, and caramel tones, and a surprisingly creamy finish.
This Buzz Free Dark Ale Rules! (Anaheim, CA) -Since its inception in 2015, Bravus Brewing, North America’s first non-alcoholic craft brewery has never stopped innovating. Founded by software engineer-turned-brewer Philip Brandes, Bravus was born when Brandes sought to solve a craft beer-loving friend’s dilemma of how to maintain his new sobriety without having to give up his favorite beverage. And they brew a beer that was inspired by Guinness that won’t muddy your head.
Extremely smooth and uber-refreshing, Bravus Oatmeal Dark is buzz-free pleaser with subtle hints of chocolate, caramel and roasted coffee. If you’re a fan of Guinness, but looking to steer clear of alcohol over the holidays, this is the brew for you!
