August is ON…And brewers are addressing the warm weather with a variety of intriguing new beer offerings, from sessionable to enormous, that pair brilliantly with the season.
Stone Farks Around (Escondido, CA) – Every July Stone Brewing returns a superhero of an Imperial Stout. And 2019’s release comes with artwork from comic artist Alan Davis, who has worked on some of the most iconic comic book series of all time, including Uncanny X-Men and Justice League of America.
Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout is an 11.5% ABV bourbon-barrel-aged Imperial Stout that is brewed with pecans, wheat and flaked rye… It’s smooth and creamy and ideal for cellaring as its complex flavors will evolve over time. Traditionally released in bottles, 2019’s w00tstout isn’t “farking around” and ships in 12oz six-pack cans this year.

DuClaw Gets All Snuggy (Baltimore, MD) – DuClaw Brewing has a new limited release hitting retail in August. Available in 16oz can 4-packs, DuClaw Citra Snuggy is a n all-Citra 8.3% ABV Double IPA with HUGE mango, pineapple and stonefruit notes and a ‘blanket-soft’ mouthfeel.
