Making Lagers Great Again (Helsinki, Finland) – Rock Paper Scissors, a small Finnish craft brewery has a new special release which has fun with the recent Helsinki summit between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump that we only wish we could get our hands on. RPS Brewing’s Let’s Settle This Like Adults is a 4.7 % ABV Lager that was single-hopped with Loral and crafted with Finnish good humor.
That’s The Ticket! (Crozet, VA) – With temperatures soaring all over the country we’ve turned to lawnmower beers here at the ACB compound and Starr Hill has a good one that’s recently been released in 16oz cans as part of their new Jam Pack Variety 12-pack. Front Row Golden Ale is 4.9% ABV refresher with a lightly hopped bitterness and a honey-like malt body.
Ultra-Hopped (Doral, FL) – Florida’s MIA Beer Company is canning a special limited release for the first time (but we expect it won’t be the last). Clocking in at an unforgiving 9% ABV MIA Ultra Mix Imperial IPA is pumped out of its mind on Simcoe, Citra and Galaxy hops and not apologizing for any of it!
Ardently Crafted (Richmond, VA) – Ardent Craft Ales has a tart new warm-weather release that’s perfect for a summertime sipping. Ardent Summer American Sour Blend is a 6.6% ABV Blonde Ale aged to perfection in specially curated oak barrels and blended with pink guava and pineapple.
Epic Stuff (Cooperstown, NY) Brewery Ommegang and HBO just announced the newest beer in their collaborative Game of Thrones Series. Brewed as a homage for the mythical queen Daenerys Targaryen, Ommegang Mother of Dragons, an artful blend of Smoked Porter and a Belgian Kriek, is the third beer in this year’s Royal Reserve Collection, a collection of special releases crafted to commemorate one of four epic figures engaged in the battle for the Seven Kingdoms.
