Things get more aggressive in our latest collection of late June offerings…And we’ve six buzzy (some of them smoky) craft beer directions that you’re gonna want to chase down as we look to the 4^th of July.

3 Smokin’ Switchback Limited Releases (Burlington, VT) – Switchback Brewing is reimagining the Rauchbier with its new Flynn on Fire Smoked Beer Initiative and three new craft beers that are smokin’.

Switchback Gates Of Helles is a 5.1% ABV Helles-style Lager with just right touch off smoky softness and it’s the perfect ‘gateway drug’ to enter into the world of smoked beers with.

Switchback Blackstrap Ale is a 5.9% ABV smoky dark ale inspired by KC’s iconic BBQ tradition with its aggressive combination of sweet and smoke.

Smoked Märzen is a 5.4% ABV dark and roasty take on the Märzenbier a pale lager, that originated in Bavaria.

Spoetzl Brewery Releases Two First-Ever Collaborations! (San Antonio, CA) – Spoetzl Brewery has brewed the first two collaborations in its 109-year-old history in honor of the San Antonio tri-centennial and the city’s first settlers who came from Spain’s Canary Islands. Partnering with Agüita Cerveza Artesanal, a craft brewery in Tenerife, Spain and using Spoetzl’s small batch brew system, the brewers created the two on-of-a-kind celebratory beers…

Las Canarias Ale is an exceptionally balanced Belgian-style Blonde Ale that was brewed using Gofio – a Canary Island flour made from roasted wheat and sweet Texas honey.

Tenerife Ale is a sessionable Red Canary Island Ale made with, honey, two-row malts, caramel, Carapils Copper malts and oats to magnify the collaboration’s lasting aroma.

Flashback Friday (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas Beer is returning “a blast for the past” this Friday at their taproom that’s a dark twist on their flagship Loose Cannon IPA. Brewed with unapologetic amounts of roasted barley and Carafa malt, Heavy Seas Black Cannon is a 7.25% ABV Black IPA with a medium body and a roasty finish!
