July is just flying by…And brewers are addressing the warm weather with a variety of intriguing new beer offerings that pair brilliantly with the season.
Lakewood Plays Ball (Dallas, TX) – Lakewood Brewing has a new canned limited release which cerebrates everything that’s good about fresh cantaloupe flavors. Brewed with Loral, Citra, Bravo and Huell Melon hops as well as fresh cantaloupe, Lakewood Melon Baller is 6.1% ABV Hazy IPA that will be available for a limited time in 4-pack cans as well as draft starting in early August.
Deschutes Does Brut (Bend, OR) – Deschutes Brewery has a new addition to its Just Tapped Series, a line of beers which originated in one the brewery’s pubs and created enough buzz to warrant wider distribution. Developed at the Portland Public House’s state-of-the-art pilot facility, Deschutes Brut IPA is a 6.4% ABV India Pale Ale that tracks to the “very dry” side of things.
It’s Good To Be King of the Realm (Atlanta, GA) – They call it ‘Hotlanta’for a reason. And to counter its sweltering heat New Realm Brewing has collaborated with a local popsicle maker, King of Pops on a beer that’s cool in more ways than one. The first in the brewery’s Push Cart Series, New Realm BGL Belgian Ale is a 7.5% ABV Belgian-style Blonde Ale infused with ginger, blackberry and lemon pop flavors.
A Beer To Build On (Asheville, NC) Wicked Weed Brewing has announced the second in their Beers that Build program, a series of beers that donates a portion of its profits back to the community. Originally brewed in collaboration with Green Man Brewing out of Asheville and Broomtail Brewing out of Wilmington, as a direct response to Hurricane Florence, Wicked Weed Coastal Love is a 6.3% ABV New England-style IPA that will continue to generate funds for hurricane relief.
