Darkness Cometh (Munster, IN) – Three Floyds will be celebrating 20 years in the biz with an truly amazing celebration this weekend. Dark Lord Day is legend and this year’s sold out event is taking place this Saturday, April 30^th. Dark Lord Day is the only day of the year to buy Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout and the fevered masses will be descending upon the brewery compound. Beer freaks come in from all over the country to hang with other beer enthusiasts, drink madly, eat BBQ, listen to live music, and generally have a rockin great time. For those of you who were lucky enough to have actually scored tickets to this long sold out event be sure to survive – we want to hear all about it.

On The Big Screen – One of our favorite comedy duos, Jordan Peele and Michael Key are taking the whole internet cat video phenomenon to a concerning new level this weekend. Billed as a major league”cat comedy” Keanu also stars Method Man and some unnamed cat in a story about a stolen cat and drug dealers.

Boonville or Bust! (Boonville, CA) – The Anderson Valley Brewing Company will be presenting their 20^th annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival this Saturday, April 30^th and this is a fun one. This open-air event, held in California’s scenic Anderson Valley more than 100 beers from some of the West Coast’s best breweries. In addition to the awesome beer there will be live music, dancing and some of the region’s best food. And (we love this!) on-site camping is also available. TV Time – Season two of The Walking Dead’s companion series, Fear the Walking Dead returned to AMC recently so now zombie lovers everywhere can rejoice.. Those of you who follow us regularly, know that were big fans of the original apocalyptic zombie series. And although this West Coast-based spinoff sometimes underwhelms – it does seem to be getting better. 

Weekend Beer Pick

Widmer Brothers just sent us an award-winning classic, which we intend to power-pound all weekend, to insure that we’re in drinking shape for next week’s CBC. Widmer Brothers Hefe is a 4.9% American Hefeweizen that they’ve been brewing for over 30 years.
