February is just flying by and American brewers are weathering winter with a new roster of beers that you’re gonna want to have around.

A Craft Classic Returns (Hershey, PA) – Just in time to fight the winter doldrums and post-holiday blues, Tröegs is returning a beer that like Troegenator and Mad Elf, helped put the Pennsylvania brewery on the map. When it debuted back in 2004, there was absolutely nothing else like it, and 21 years later it remains a defining classic.

Abundantly hopped with “fresh-off-the-bine” Nugget hops from the brewery’s annual hop curation trek to Yakima, WA,  Tröegs Nugget Nectar is a 7.5% ABV Imperial Amber Ale with hints of ripe mango and dreamsicle that is balanced with enough kilned malt to add body and a touch of sweetness.

“Nugget Nectar is the main reason we started going out to Yakima for hop selection,” explains Tröegs co-founding brother and brewmaster John Trogner. “We’re after Simcoe ripe with mango notes and Nugget hops full of grapefruit rind and pine. This beer is what it is because of careful attention to the annual harvest options.”

Drink Like A German (Northglenn, CO) –  Prost Brewing is a Colorado craft brewery renowned for its award-winning biergarten-style biers which are brewed authentically with sustainably sourced German-grown hops and malts that are hand-selected for quality. And they are kicking off 2025 with a classic limited release that couldn’t be more welcome.

Light in color and body, but massively flavorful, Prost Helles is a 5% ABV Munich-Style Golden Lager with bright, vibrant notes, and the old-world earthiness of pilsner and Vienna malts offset by a very traditional, noble hop character.

“The German word ‘Helles’ means pale,” said Prost President David Deline. “And while it’s now considered a traditional style, it actually caused controversy when it was introduced in the mid-1800’s, challenging older, darker styles for the title of ‘real’ Bavarian lager.”

Daytripper (Atlanta, GA) – — SweetWater Brewing, the largest craft brewer in the Southeast has a new fruit-forward addition to its year-round flagship line. Crafted with a melodious blend of Columbus, Citra, Waimea, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops, SweetWater Daytrip IPA is an easy-drinking 6.6% ABV India Pale Ale bursting with bright, juicy, tropical flavors and a smooth, refreshing finish.

“Daytrip IPA captures the bold, dynamic hop characteristics SweetWater fans adore, while presenting a lower bitterness,” said Prinz Pinakatt, Chief Growth Officer at Tilray Beverages. “Rigorous research and extensive testing have gone into perfecting this recipe, and choosing premium ingredients.”
