2024 is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with an intriguing roster of new beers you’re gonna want to have around.
POGressive (Portland, OR) – Certified B Corp Hopworks Brewery has just introduced a new seasonal sour inspired by the beloved juice that came out of Hawaii. POG is an acronym for the three ingredients found in that drink, passion fruit juice, orange juice, and guava juice.
Crafted with a bright mix of tropical passionfruit, orange and guava juices and the juicy, pineapple notes of El Dorado hops, Hopworks POG Tropical Sour is a 5.6% ABV seasonal that’s designed to bring a spot of sunlight to a Pacific Northwest winter.
“We have a lot of fun with our fruited sour rotation, and the classic POG flavors combined into a showstopper of an ale,” said Ryan Pappe, Director of Brewing Operations at Hopworks Brewery. “It’s fun, fruity and refreshing, and if you close your eyes, you just might feel the warm sand and hear the gentle whoosh of palm trees blowing in the island breeze. Or not—but either way, it’s a great sour!”
Great Lakes Brewing Doubles Down On Success (Cleaveland, OH) – Building upon the success of 2023 release Vibacious Double IPA, Great Lakes Brewing has introduced an exciting new variation. Crafted with a smart blend of real citrus and natural fruit flavors Great Lakes Juicy Vibacious is a 9.5% ABV Double India Pale Ale with an an even brighter and juicier flavor profile than the original.
“A juicy version of GLBC’s most successful innovation in years will only elevate both brands,” says Chris Brown, GLBC Chief Commercial Officer. “IVery few times do sequels outdo the original, but we believe Juicy is poised to not only grow the Vibacious family, but match or beat the 2023 Vibacious debut.”
Vibacious Double IPA was ranked as the #7 overall new craft brand of 2023 per Circana data, making it one of GLBC’s most successful innovation stories to date.
Buzz-Free On Nitro (Naperville, IL) – With more craft breweries than ever before, brewing serious non-alcoholic beer, ACB is expanding our coverage to include new NA beers that matter. And Go Brewing has a brand new NITRO brew that totally matters.
Inspired by Curtis Toller, a prominent Chicago gang member became an advocate to help guide inner city youth to a life beyond crime and poverty. Brimming with roasted coffee, caramel and spicy rye notes, Go Street Cred Nitro Bold is a buzz-free alternative to stouts like Guinness that we promise will not disappoint.
