Spring has sprung and American craft brewers are addressing things with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.
Get Crushed (Milton, DE) – Spring has officially sprung, and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is celebrating the season with a new addition to this year’s Off-Centered Art Series, an annual collection of four beers featuring artwork by a collaborating artist.
Crafted with boatloads of mandarin oranges and mangos to mimic the Mid-Atlantic region’s iconic “Crush Cocktail,” Dogfish Head Mandarin & Mango Crush is 6% ABV refresher with a citrusy tartness and a crisp, dry finish and artwork by Natalya Balnova, a New York-based illustrator, designer and printmaker.

Blue-Buried (Portland, OR) – Oregon is home to some of the best blueberries grown anywhere in the world and Cascade Brewing has a new release that was aged for more than two years on fresh blueberries proudly grown in Oregon’s bountiful Willamette Valley. Cascade Blueberry is an 8.3% ABV blend of sour triple and blond ales aged in Pinot Noir barrels with specially curated Oregon blueberries.
Defy This! (Alpine, WY) – The women of Melvin Brewing have crafted a new canned limited release in celebration of International Women’s Day. Brewed for and by women in beer, Miss Defy (great name!) is a unique 5% ABV Kölsch-Style brew – a hybrid between an ale and a lager. Ale yeast was used but fermented at a low temperature, then allowed to sit in a lagering phase for the same amount of time as Melvin’s traditional lagers, resulting in a beer with lightly fruity yeast notes and a slight hop bitterness, but also dry and crisp like a lager.
