Weekend Beer: New Japanese Lagers And Golden Ales

July is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with a full slate of new beers you’re gonna want to chase down this weekend.

Lawson’s Goes Phishing (Waitsfield, VT) – Lawson’s Finest Liquids is returning a limited release that was first brewed in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the popular Vermont band, The Grift and named in a nod to another legendary VT band, Phish, and its song “Ocelot.”

Brewed with a truly international menu of hops from the Pacific Northwest, Australia and New Zealand, Lawson’s Hopcelot IPA is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale with complex citrus and pine notes and a lush fruity finish.

“Hopcelot made its way from our Taproom fan-favorite to regional fan-favorite in its first distribution across the Northeast last year,” said Sean Lawson, CEO and Founding Brewer of Lawson’s Finest Liquids. “The beer is a truly unique combination of flavors and aromas, and we’re thrilled to bring it back this summer. It pays unique homage to music and the area that it’s brewed.”

On Vacation (Jackson Hole, WY) – Going into the 4^thof July celebrations, Roadhouse Brewing announced the release of one of its most popular beers in gracious 16oz cans. Crisp and delicately hopped, Roadhouse Family Vacation is a crushable 5% ABV Golden Ale featuring floral notes, biscuity malts and an uber-smooth finish.

“This easy-drinking beer just got better, and it was a no-brainer for us to consider putting Family into a 16oz can,” said Brewmaster Max Shafer. “We want to give our faithful customers a bit more beer in each can. Family Vacation in a 16oz? Yes, please!”
