Molson Coors’ Blue Moon beer brand is getting into the whole winter holiday ugly sweater thing with a pandemic twist on the time-tested tradition. Introducing the Vax Card-igan, a festive cardigan sweater that includes a transparent pocket holder for easy access to this season’s must-have accessory: proof of vaccination.

“With more bars and restaurants requiring vaccination cards to enter, Blue Moon’s Vax Card-igan is fashionable and functional, and a cool, festive sweater to brighten the season,” Samantha Wolkowicz, brand manager for Blue Moon explained to Beer & Beyond. “The best way to enjoy a Blue Moon Belgian White is on draft with that Valencia orange peel, so we want to make it easier for people to get inside and hang with their friends.”

Available now until they sell-out, Blue Moon’s Vax Card-igan is available for a not so ugly price of $21.21. And with holiday gatherings nearing these “one part cardigan, one part vax card holder” holiday essential start shipping out on December 13, so you’ll have them in plenty of time to look ugly/festive.

Astutely described by Blue Moon as “everything we never knew we needed,” the limited edition Vax Card-igan features a plastic vax holder sewn into the fabric so when the bartender asks for your proof of vax, you can just point to your chest while basking in the glory of knowing you are wearing the coolest (and most timely) ugly sweater in the place.

Even better, all proceeds from the sales of the Blue Moon Vax Card-igan, will benefit the US Bartenders Guild, an organization that supports bartenders during difficult times.

Molson Coors has been supporting the guild since March 2020, and has already donated more than $1 million to the organization.
