Ale Industries is an environmentally conscious brewery based in Oakland, California’s Fruitvale district.

For over a decade, they’ve invested in pioneering bioenergy brewing technologies that save energy, reducing waste that helps nurture the East Bay community.

But Ale Industries’ commitment extends well beyond their environment-friendly initiatives. They’re all about building community through collaborative efforts with local artists, businesses, and organizations committed to protecting & growing the unique cultures of Oakland & the bay area.

Which more than explains its latest project, an effort to find homes for adoptable pets at the East Bay SPCA.

The award-winning brewery is currently offering special edition IPA’s with images of cats and dogs in need of a home. And each of the 20 unique labels contains a QR code that will direct you to an adoption webpage with details on the featured pet. And proceeds from those IPA 4-packs will go directly to the East Bay SPCA.

Four-packs of these cat and dog-friendly IPAs are available at the Ale Industries Fruitvale Taproom. They also can be purchased with local delivery or UPS shipping to 38 states via the Ale Industries online store.

“Our team clearly has a soft spot for furry creatures,” says Jonathan Acosta Rosales, director of marketing and distribution. “We’ve been incredibly fortunate to work alongside organizations that commit to the welfare of animals in our community. This East Bay SPCA project opens the door for us to build from here and help these organizations on a more consistent basis.”

“We felt it was important to get as many of the East Bay SPCA’s available animals on beer can labels as possible,” says Ale Industries CEO Yunyi Zhang added. “Our goal is to create awareness of how many adorable animals there are waiting at the East Bay SPCA, and how the community can help.”

According to the Bay Area News Group Ale Industries has also done collaborations with Oakland Pride, Black Joy Parade, the Oakland Zoo, Oakland Roots, Oakluv, Grammy-winning musician Fantastic Negrito, and the band Death Angel.

And any brewery that supports cute little homeless cats and dogs and bands like Death Angel is okay with us.
