Summer is ON! And American craft brewers are addressing the warm weather with interesting beer offerings you’re gonna want to have around.

Better Red Than Dead (Richmond, CA) – East Brother Beer Co. is a San Francisco Bay area brewery which was founded by two friends and excels at brewing classic styles. And they brew a year-round that we wish more craft brewers would address. A variation of a once widely brewed European beer that is bursting with earthy brown sugar and light hop aromatics, East Brother Red Lager is a 4.6% ABV Vienna-Style Amber with a biscuity malt character that lays easily on the tongue.

Reasons To Be Thankful (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada Brewing crafts a tasty year-round that helps fund nonprofits standing up for social equality, economic well-being, and environmental protection and has already committed $1M in donations. Sierra Nevada Dankful IPA is a 7.4% ABV West Coast India Pale Ale that is generously hopped with Columbus, Chinook, Ekuanot, Idaho 7, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin and Zappa hops.

Barbed (Indianapolis, IN) –Sun King Brewery, the second-largest craft brewery in Indiana and winner of the most GABF medals of all individual breweries in 2020 has a new King’s Reserve limited release which may be the only beer we’ve tasted that was made with fresh rhubarb. Based on the brewery’s award-winning Flanders Red Ale recipe, Sun King The Great Rhubarbarian is a 6% ABV Sour Ale that was deftly aged on local rhubarb.

Postmodern Classic (Columbus, OH) – BrewDog USA brews a postmodern classic that’s currently also available as part of its Summer Mixed Pack. The beer that started it all for the Scotland-headquartered and now global craft brewery, BrewDog Punk IPA is a 5.2 % ABV India Pale Ale with an all-out riot of grapefruit, pineapple and lychee notes and a spiky bitter finish.
