5 Craft Beer Seasonals You Need Now

|September 20th, 2016|

Summer’s a memory and fall almost here – and we’ve all the right beers for the season. Plus we’ve some interesting new offerings from Hardywood and 21st Amendment that you’ll absolutely want to get your sweaty little hands on.

hardywood-vipaIndia Meet Virginia (Richmond, VA) – Hardywood just debuted the latest from their Flagship Series which showcases features locally grown hops from their region. Described as a “Virgindia Pale Ale” (get it) Hardywood VIPA is a 5.2% ABV India Pale Ale with a bright citrus nose.

Marooned (San Leonardo, CA) – Our friends at 21st Amendment are returning a popular seasonal and this one couldn’t be more on time! A brewery collaboration with Hog Island Oyster Company, Marooned on Hog Island Oyster Stout is a 7.9% deep dark, rich and chewy 7.9% ABV stout that’s brewed oyster shells, for a decidedly silky and salty finish.

magic-hat-belgo-sutraBelgo Sutra (South Burlington, VT) – Magic Hat just shipped a special limited release that sounds unapologetically intoxicating. Taking their lead from Belgium’s rich Trappist traditions, Magic Hat Belgo Sutra is a massive 8.2% ABV Belgian Quadrupel that’s brewed with figs and dates. And to celebrate its release they’ve also donated $5000 dollars to support Vermont CARES a non-profit, that’s been building healthy communities in the state for 30 years.

Processed with Snapseed.

Winter’s Coming (Denver, CO) – With summer waning and the days grow cooler, River North is turning towards bigger and more robust beers – and their latest more than fits that bill. Bone-dry and chock full of roasted barley, River North Avarice is a 9.3% ABV Belgian Style Imperial Stout that makes for some seriously sinful drinking.

Stone’s Anniversary IPAs (Escondido, CA) – Stone recently shipped a new four-pack that we’ll definitely be chasing down. Stone Anniversary IPA Collection four-pack is a collection of some of the best from their Anniversary IPA family. Starting with this year’s Citracado IPA, this great collection also includes their 5th and 10th Anniversary IPAs and another favorite of ours, the 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA.
