Although some questions might still linger, you couldn’t come away from this week’s confirmation hearings without at least understanding that Brett Kavanaugh likes beer. But we’ve still some tough beer questions we wished he’d been asked this week…important questions like where he stands on Milkshake IPAs
1 – With the drinking age being 18 when you were in high school, did you ever carry a fake ID…and while we’re talking fake IDs, what are your thoughts on immigration?
2 – And since you clearly seemed to have enjoyed (and some would suggest, over-enjoyed) the benefits of being able to drink legally at eighteen…as a Supreme Court Justice would you be in favor of sharing all those good times by making the legal drinking age a national issue?
3 – We understand that you’ve been busy of late with all these confirmation hearings and whatnot…But given that “you still like beer,” we have to ask if you were able to sneak out of DC and hit up the Great American Beer Festival in Denver this year?
4 – What’s your favorite beer style and where do you come down on abortion?
5 – If as a Supreme Court Justice you’re asked to weigh in on divisive issues like the Brewers Association’s definition of craft beer would you have to recuse yourself?
6 – And if Anheuser-Busch want’s to fly you out to Chicago for a private Bourbon County Brand preview followed by a relaxing Clydesdale horse-driven carriage ride along Lake Michigan, would you accept?
7 – Do you expect Black IPAs to make a comeback? And if they do what does that say about racism?
8 – What’s your favorite beer movie? Do you keep a copy of Strange Brew at home?
9 – Will the Brut IPA ever become the ‘force’ that the New England IPA has become today…and speaking of ‘Brut force’ what are your thoughts on gun control.
10 – If a sketchy website like American Craft Beer asked you to participate in their 5 Stupid Questions series and they offered you free beer to subjugate yourself to that degree of humiliation, would you do it?
