10 Barrel Brewing has long been on a mission to brew serious beer made for the “Great Outdoors” and have a kick ass time doing it.

It started in 2006 with three brothers from Bend, Oregon, and since then has grown to encompass four brew pubs—two in Bend, another in Portland and another in Boise. The brewery is most famous for their IPAs, and now with the launch of the HopBurst Family those IPAs are getting turned up to 11.

The HopBurst Family is the reincarnation of three of 10 Barrel’s most popular IPAs, now amplified through the process of “hopbursting,” which accentuates flavor and aroma while minimizing bitterness to optimize these beers to perfection.

And here’s how 10 Barrel Brewing describes its “enhanced” family of IPAs…

APOCALYPSE IPA (6.2% ABV)

“We took our West Coast IPA and loaded up the hops at the end of the brewing process for massive flavor and enhanced aromatics. This technique locks in notes of pine and citrus leaving you with a bright golden appearance and medium body. It’s impossible to miss this recipe’s herbal, grapefruit and stone fruit aromas.”

ALL WAYS DOWN (9% ABV)

“A Double IPA bursting with hops! A fan-favorite from the start, this recipe brings citrus, cannabis and pine flavors with sweet aromas of pineapple and mango. This beer began as a specialty brew with our friends at Rome Snowboards and is inspired by the many Double IPAs in their home state of Vermont.”

CLOUD MENTALITY (7% ABV)

‘We tossed a truckload of hops into our Hazy IPA at the end of the brewing process, causing an explosion of flavor and aromatics. This technique traps all the juicy, tropical notes, while maintaining a balanced taste and keeping the bitterness in check. Cloud Mentality comes with a sweet stone fruit finish and aromas of citrus and tropical fruit.”
