On The Big Screen – This weekend’s big movie opening is a World War I epic that was just awarded two Golden Globe awards for Best Director (Sam Mendes) and Best Motion Picture of The Year.  Called “Hard-hitting, immersive, and an impressive technical achievement, 1917 captures the trench warfare of World War I with raw, startling immediacy.”

TV Time & Steaming – Netflix recently returned the fifth season of an award-wining British gangster saga that takes place in Birmingham, England in 1919, and it’s worth your time.
