With our headquarters in Washington DC and the bulk of our correspondents found near America's top producing craft beer regions on the coasts, it only makes sense for us to start a new series giving all the states their due, featuring breweries large and small, plus the histories behind them.

We can't believe it's June already...So much has happened this year and it doesn't appear that things will be slowing down any time soon. But no worries - Rumor Mill is always on the case, keeping you plugged in to all the craft beer news that matters. Plus we've an all-important update on what we've been drinking lately and you absolutely don't want to miss that.

We recently flew out to California, as guests of David Walker and the Firestone Walker crew, to attend this year's Invitational Beer Fest up in Paso Robles. Needless to say, it was a total blast and a wonderful example of a beer festival done right. 

And, oh yeah... It also might just be the best non-Brewers Association craft beer event in the country.

One of the things that we enjoy about SAVOR, in addition to the beers themselves and the wonderful foods pairings, are the unique Salons occurring nightly. These carefully curated Salons allow attendees a quiet respite from the Grand Tasting in the National Building Museum's Great Hall and a private space where they can learn more about brewing techniques and sample "special reserve" beers with some of the industry's masters.

So many beers, So little time...SAVOR is taking place this weekend in Washington, DC and they'll be giving away a special collaboration beer from two mid-Atlantic legends to everyone who attends..
