We blame the industry for this... It used to be that when we wrapped up our Weekend Picks on Friday, we could coast through the weekend. There was little need to check in for updates - things were pretty much done. But clearly all that's changed.

So here's some of what's happened in the world of craft beer while you were off enjoying yourselves.

It was a great year for craft beer and a terrific year for cutting-edge television and we overindulged in both.

HD flat screens offering incredible sound and amazing options and have taken the home-viewing experience to a whole new level. Couple that with a year that delivered some of the most artistic and adventuresome television dramas and comedies ever, and it truly was an awesome year to stay home.
