Good Beer Great Cause (Leesburg, VA) – The Americana Beer Fest, a craft beer festival founded by Brews for the Brave, a non-profit dedicated to raising funding for regional veteran organizations on the East Coast through creative events, is taking place this weekend and it sounds like a blast. Debuting this Saturday, June 11th in Leesburg’s Morven Park, this festival will feature over 160 craft beer offerings along with workshops hosted by industry pros, artisan food and live music from nationally touring musicians – so you don’t want to miss this.
On The Big Screen – In yet another sign that we’re fast approaching the early summer film doldrums, horror sequels and CGI epics are basically what’s happening this weekend. Following up on 2013’s surprise hit, The Conjuring 2 moves across the pond, from a farmhouse in Rhode Island to a council house in Enfield, England, where poltergeist activity has settled uncomfortably into the lives of a single 
mother and her family. And the best-selling videogame Warcraft also brings its decades of complex mythology and world-building to the big screen – so there’s that.
PDX Beer Week Begins (Portland, OR) – In a town where 2 or 3 craft beer events can happen on a normal day, Portland’s Beer week – taking place this year June 10th-19th can feature 20+ events on one day alone! The first event out the gate is the Portland Fruit Beer Festival, happening all weekend at its new, larger location (40% more space!) in the North Park Blocks. This year’s edition will feature over 60 beers and ciders, and is open to all ages as always. Also happening tonight only is the 5th Annual Rye Beer Fest at EastBurn.
Music / Music / Music & Craft Beer (Manchester, TN) – Bonnaroo, one of America’s biggest and most important music events will be celebrating 15 years of serious music all through the weekend. With five main stages and more than seven smaller ones, and headliners like Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Tame Impala – this year promises to be one of the best in 15 years.
