Spring is ON and summer’s coming. And American craft brewers are addressing the seasons with fun new offerings that are right on time.

Indeed Brewing Lightens Things Up (Minneapolis, MN) – In 2019 Indeed Brewing introduced a lower octane and calorie variation of its popular Mexican Honey Imperial Lager with the same crisp and robust flavor.to its year-round portfolio.

Brewed with imported Mexican orange blossom honey and  a citrusy twist that keeps things quaffable Indeed Mexican Honey Light is crisp and floral 5% ABV Mexican Lager that is crafted with honey from south of the border.

“The goal of Mexican Honey Light was to be true to the unique flavor profile of Mexican Honey while adding some character of its own,” said head brewer Josh Bischoff. “We ended up accentuating the citrus character of the orange blossom honey by adjusting the malt bill to lower the pH as well as adding a touch of lime and orange peel to the brewing process.

Guinness US Releases Experimental Beer (Baltimore, MD) – Ever since Guinness opened its new US brewery in Baltimore, we’ve been hoping to see some of its more experimental offerings hit retail, and now a new one has.

The latest addition to the historic brewer’s roster of Baltimore-brewed regional releases and now on shelves across select cities in the Mid-Atlantic, Guinness Salt & Lime Ale is a crisp and golden 5% ABV limited release that is crafted with key lime puree and sea salt from the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay.

“Guinness is all about honoring tradition with our own unique and iconic spin, said Peter Wiens, Brew Master, Guinness Open Gate Brewery Baltimore. “Our historic yeast that makes our stouts so special is used in almost every experimental beer we create, and Salt & Lime Ale is no exception. It represents much of why we’re here in America.”
