Spring is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the warming season with a variety of ambitious new offerings that are fun and user-friendly…
A Fortune Find (Longmont, CO) – Left Hand Brewing has an exciting new seasonal that’s inspired by Colorado’s El Dorado Canyon. Brimming with bold orange and pineapple aromatics as formidable as the canyon’s rock formations, Left Hand Found Fortune is an 8.7% ABV Double IPA with bright candied orange, juicy tropical fruits, and fresh-squeezed grapefruit notes and a lightly hazy ambience.
Welcome A New Day (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing has historically been known for their big West Coast Style IPAs, but its brewers have been crafting incredible Belgian-style beers for years, and they have a few medals to show for them. And now Stone has announced its newest Belgian style ale which they describe as the “finest beer ever created for drinking in the sunshine.”
Born at Stone’s small batch brewery is San Diego as a lighter version of Liberty Station’s Witty Moron, the winner of two gold medals, and one bronze at the Great American Beer Festival, Stone Dayfall Belgian White is a 5.5% ABV Belgian-Style Wheat Ale that is deftly nurtured with Bergamot orange peel and artisan coriander.
Road Trip (Bellingham, WA) – Kulshan Brewing has a unique new release that nods to both Bruce Springsteen and a proud English brewing tradition. Earthy yet floral with just enough bitterness, Kulshan Thunder Road is a massive 12% ABV British-style Barleywine with smooth warming malt tones and lingering notes of graham cracker and toffee.
Play Ball (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing is returning a hazy variation of a collaboration they did with Hall-of-Famer Tony Gwynn in 2014, just in time for baseball season…Now available on draft and in four-packs of 16oz cans, AleSmith Hazy .394 is a 6% ABV San Diego-Style Pale Ale with bright fruit and citrus aromatics and a creamy, full-bodied finish.
