Nelly Gets a Commemorative Budweiser Can

Anheuser-Busch, Saint Louis, Missouri’s most famous brewery is celebrating the city’s most famous rapper, Nelly, with a specially branded Budweiser can that commemorates the 20th anniversary of his breakout album Country Grammar.

The limited edition Nelly cans feature Budweiser’s trademark red and white logo, with a picture of the artist and his name placed where the Budweiser moniker would traditionally go.

The 25oz tallboys, which are only available in Saint Louis, also substitute some of the artist’s best lyrics for the traditional Budweiser text.

“It’s a little overwhelming,” Nelly told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, “but it’s really dope, and it’s what you work for, and it’s definitely something to live up to and something to continue.”

Nebraska Craft Brewery Sponsors the Super Bowl of Sportfishing”

, Rumor Mill: Nebraska Craft Brewery Sponsors Sportfishing Tournament In Mexico / Nelly Budweiser CanYou’ve got to admit that a Lincoln, Nebraska brewery’s decision to expand into Mexico might seem uber-ambitious. But not only is Zipline Brewing doing this, they are also now sponsoring what Mexico calls the “Super Bowl of sportfishing” in Cabo San Lucas.

And having partnered with maxiaNET and Arnian Group, Zipline Brewing has created Bisbee’s Livewell Lager to be the official beer of the Bisbee’s Black & Blue, one of the world’s largest and richest sportfishing tournaments.

“We couldn’t be more excited to launch our entry into the Mexican market than by associating with this great event,” Zipline co-founder Tom Wilmoth said in a news release. “It’s the Super Bowl of sportfishing and we’ve crafted a beer with that competitive spirit in mind.”

According to Wilmoth, Zipline said it will follow the release of Livewell Lager in Mexico with its flagship, Great American Beer Fest gold medal-winning Copper Alt, and German-style Kölsch.
