If there ever was a beer festival that became a national music & arts event, it was Boulevardia. We’ve that, “Words to Drink By” and more.

Boulevardia Beer & Music Festival Ends

If there ever was a beer festival that became a national music & arts event, it was Boulevardia. And now after a decade of great music and serious beer its Board of Directors has announced that after 10 years, Boulevardia has ended its run.

On January 8,  organizers announced that the festival would not return for 2026 or any future years, stating that “ending on year ten feels right.”

An annual urban street festival held in Kansas City, Missouri, typically in June, that became a touchstone event for Boulevard Brewing Boulevardia was a multi-day event (later a one-day event for its finale) that transformed city streets into a “pop-up nation” celebrating local culture, creativity, and community spirit. It was beer & music, local arts and serious beer and community. And to say it will be missed is an understatement.

This from that announcement…

“To our fans, partners, volunteers, vendors, artists and the City of Kansas City: you made a decade of BLVDIA possible.
Ending on year ten feels right—like the final page of a story we’re incredibly proud to have written together. And what a story it is. A decade of joy, community, celebration and the very best of Kansas City.
The festival may be ending, but the memories (and the hangovers) live on.”

Constellation Brands Mexican Beers Rebound in US

Despite the pervading sense of gloom surrounding the alcohol biz in the United States, Constellation Brands, home to popular Mexican beer brands and distribution rights in the US  has provided some cheer to begin 2026 with, announcing third quarter results that easily exceeded expectations.

Costellation Brands logo on black backgroundAfter losing 37% of their value in 2025, the shares jumped by 3% and analysts suggested that they would continue to recover, albeit slowly, after Q3 sales fell less than feared.

In the three months to the end of November, Constellation’s net sales did fall 10%, but analysts had predicted a 12.4% drop in the US. The quarterly adjusted profit was US$3.06 per share, easily beating estimates of US$2.63 per share.

And Constellation’s all-important Mexican beer division which includes some of the most popular Mexican beer brands in the United States shows signs of improvement. As of 2026, its Mexican beer portfolio remains the primary driver of the company’s growth, led by Modelo Especial, which became the #1 selling beer in the U.S. in 2023

Beer sales fell by 1% during the third quarter of 2025 but that represented a significant improvement from a 7% drop in the summer quarter, which  was impacted president Trump’s 50% tariffs on aluminum and his immigration policing which has also affected demand among the Hispanic population.
