Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For

So many beers, So little time… Ninkasi has revamped their “Flagship Series” lineup for 2015. We’ve more on that for you – plus we’ve news about an exciting new collaboration from Terrapin and New Belgium Brewing that you’ll want to chase down next year.

Breakfast In A Bottle (Athens, GA) – Terrapin Beer has announced the fifth release from their popular Reserve Series, which they disturbingly refer to as “breakfast in a bottle.” Weighing in at an aggressive 9.5% ABV, Terrapin French Toasted Coffee Oatmeal W-n-B Stout combines maple syrup, fresh coffee, and hints of vanilla and cinnamon notes with the heft of an Imperial – and makes no apologies about it.

Wet Hops Go 365 (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada will be taking Wet Hop IPAs into uncharted waters soon and we’re all about it! Sierra NevadaHop Hunter IPA is brewed using vaporized oil from wet hop steam distilled in the hop field, minutes after harvest. This pure, powerful hop essence is used alongside traditional hops to create a 6.25% ABV IPA with true wet hop character that can be enjoyed all year-round.

Milking It (Lakewood, NY) – The Southern Tier Brewing Company has released a new winter seasonal now hitting retail. Southern Tier 2X Presso is a black and creamy, 7.5% ABV ale that uses their popular 2X Stout as a starting point and introduces espresso coffee beans and lemon peels into the mix.

Fresh from the Redneck Riviera (Santa Rosa Beach, FL) – Grayton Beer has just released a new seasonal harvest ale that’s part of their Artist Series, where a portion of the proceeds will go toward art-based initiatives and charities in Florida’s Panhandle. Crafted with 800 pounds of fresh crystal hops and three different types of rye, Redneck Rye-viera is an 8.5% Double Rye IPA that’s as perfect for cold-weather drinking as it is for walking the beach.

Liquered Up (Fort Collins, CO) – Odell Brewing and small batch distiller, Leopold Bros, have once again cooked up something interesting. Odell Fernet Aged Porter is a 9.85% ABV Imperial Porter aged in retired Fernet liqueur barrels and it’s rolling out now – so you know what to do.
