A Barrel-Aged Beer Like None Other (Escondido, CA) – In recent years, barrel-aged beers have become some of the world’s most coveted creations and now Stone is taking this concept in an unexpected direction.Ecliptic/Wicked Weed/Stone Points Unknown IPA is a 9.5% ABV barrel-aged collaboration between Stone, Ecliptic, and Wicked Weed Brewing that incorporates two disparate styles–a hop-forward, distinctly American IPA and a fruity Belgian Tripel, both brewed with blue agave nectar.

Summertime German-Style (San Jose, CA) – Gordon Biersch is signaling that summer is full-on on with their latest warm-weather release. Sommerbrau is a 4.8% ABV Kölsch crafted by Gordon Biersch in adherence with the ‘Reinheitsgebot’ – the German purity law of 1516 stipulating the use of only four ingredients in the brewing process – water, malt, hops, and yeast. This light bodied beer is fermented using a special top fermenting yeast strain that the brewery’s co-founder Dan Gordon sources from former classmates at the Technical University of Munich.
