September is ON, and craft brewers around the world are looking to fall with an ever-evolving roster of beverages you’re gonna want to have around as things cool down.
Philadelphia’s Finest (Philadelphia, PA) – Flyer’s Garnet Hathaway, Flyers Charities, and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery have partnered on a new limited release that supports local first responders and their families through his and his wife Lindsay’s Hath’s Heroes initiative. Bursting with big piney aromatics that are tethered to a solid malt backbone, Dogfish Head x Garnet Hathaway Engine 19 IPA, is the perfect 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale to kick-off hockey season with, and it’s now available on shelves and taps throughout Delaware and Pennsylvania.
The name of the beer itself is an ode to Garnet’s great-grandfather, Garnet Mcelroy.
And Garnet, who now sports the #19 for the Flyers, was inspired by his ancestor’s incredible experiences serving as a firefighter out in Winnipeg to create Hath’s Heroes alongside his wife, Lindsey.
“Lindsay and I are beyond thrilled for Engine 19 to finally hit the shelves,” said Hathaway. “This isn’t just a beer, it’s a way to support the people who show up for our communities day in and day out. Bringing this to life with Dogfish Head and Flyers Charities has been an incredible journey, and I can’t wait for fans to experience it and join us in making a difference.”
Halloween 2025 (York, England) – One of the UK’s most popular craft breweries, the cleverly named Brew York, is getting ready for Halloween with a limited-edition trilogy of beers Paying homage to three classic horror video games A toast Doom, Resident Evil, and The Last of Us, all three beers are a call to action for gamers and craft beer fans alike…

And this is how the brewery describes them…
Protocol – Pumpkin Spiced Stout (4.9%) Inspired by Resident Evil, Protocol is a dark, atmospheric stout layered with roasted malt and autumnal spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. Smooth yet sinister, it’s best enjoyed with the lights off – and perhaps a little caution.
Hellfire – Cherry & Rhubarb Pie Sour (6.0%) Inspired by Doom, Hellfire channels the game’s relentless energy into a fiery explosion of tart cherry and rhubarb, rounded with a biscuity pastry finish. Sweet, sharp, and devilishly drinkable – it’s a scorched slice of dessert straight from the underworld.
Remnant – NEIPA (5.2%) Inspired by The Last of Us, Remnant is a hazy journey through wild, overgrown landscapes. Bursting with Hallertau Blanc and Nelson Sauvin for white grape and gooseberry brightness, alongside Huell Melon and Strata for honeydew, tropical citrus, and dank undertones. Soft-bodied and juicy, it mirrors the bittersweet beauty and chaos of a world reclaimed by nature.
Pre-orders begin on 15th September 2025 on the Brew York website, so you know what to do!
