2021, hopefully a better year, is officially ON. And we’ve some fun new beer releases to pair with your weekend.
An Everyday Beer Is Finally Here (Longmont, CO) – Oskar Blues has just introduced a new addition to its year-round portfolio that’s for “everyday drinking,” the kind of beer made for pairing with another. Crafted using German lager techniques honed for the brewery’s Slow Chill Lager Series and a handful of collaborations with other craft breweries, Oskar’s Lager is an ultra-crisp, uber-smooth 4.2% ABV Lager with only 95 calories and 2.5 carbs per 12oz can.
“When developing this recipe, we had in mind a Japanese concept called ‘kire,’ which in the beer world means a pleasing crispness with cleansing properties,” says Ryan Dunnavant, VP of Operations for Oskar Blues. “Like a conversation with an old friend, Oskar’s Lager is classic, refreshing and invigorating.”
S’more Please (Asheville, NC) – Hi-Wire Brewing has a late-January limited release that could have you begging for s’more. Sweet, creamy, and made for fireside sipping, Hi-Wire S’mores Porter is an approachable 6% ABV homage to the beloved campfire treat that is brewed with chocolate, fresh vanilla, and cinnamon.
Eye-Opening (Seattle, WA) – Reuben’s Brews has a new collaboration that they did with their Kuma Coffee, friends who the brewery has partnered with on a number of projects over the years. Brewed using their classic Robust Porter as its base, Reuben’s Bear Mug is a rich and roasty 5.9% ABV limited release, deftly infused with a unique coffee blend featuring Kenyan and Honduran beans.
Elder-Flowered (St Paul, MN) – Summit Brewing is returning IPA that’s exclusive to its Summit Mixed Pack IPA Edition. Crafted with whole Elderflowers and a smart menu of Rakau, Bru 1 and Motueka hops, Summit Elderflower IPA is a boldly unfiltered 6.2% ABV India Pale Ale with rich lavender, honeydew and bubble gum notes.
