These are no longer normal times…So why drink something normal especially in 2021?
River North Doubles Down (Denver, C0) – On January 30, River North Brewery is releasing the latest from its 2021 Single Cask Series, an impressive offering which was aged twice in two separate barrels.
Barrel aged in Colorado single malt whiskey and then again in Colorado rye whiskey, this version of River North J. Marie is a 10.5% ABV “Double” Single Cask Saison with an oaky, whiskey ambience and rustic caramel notes.
Ave A New (San Diego, CA) – Coronado Brewing is kicking off 2021 with a unique twist on the company’s original Orange Ave Wit Ale. Brewed with 2-row malt, wheat, flaked oats for extra body and fresh locally sourced oranges, Coronado Orange Avenue is a 4.2% Shandy with welcome juicy mouthfeel and just a hint of sweetness to its finish.
Old Fashion Passion (Portland, OR) – Cascade Brewing has a new limited release that’s a tribute to the Old Fashioned cocktail. Cascade Contemporary Fashion is a 12.2% ABV Sour Quad Ale aged in Bourbon barrels for up to two years with orange peel, then infused with aromatic bitters made by Portland Bitters Project.
New, Brisk And Smooth (Boston, MA) – Boston Beer has a new cold-weather offering that’s available now through March. Hazy, bright and boldly unfiltered Samuel Adams Alpine Lager is a 5.5 ABV winter seasonal with a crisp maltiness and uber-smooth mouthfeel that doesn’t disappoint.
“High” Velocity (Columbus, OH) – BrewDog USA has a new low calorie offering that absolutely doesn’t drink like one. Crafted with an all-star menu of Cascade, Centennial, Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops, BrewDog Lightspeed is a 4% ABV Hazy Pale Ale with only 99 calories and plenty of velocity.
