It’s either encouraging or insane to even consider launching a new business in these challenging times. But two breweries will soon be opening outlets in Brooklyn…and they want you.

Other Half Brewing To Open Experimental Brewery In Williamsburg

Pandemic or not, one of Brooklyn’s hottest craft breweries Other Half Brewing is in full-on expansion mode. In addition to its NYC borough location, Other Half also runs a brewery and taproom in New York State’s Finger Lakes region. And in August the company, which was founded by Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan, and Andrew Burman in 2014, announced that it would soon be opening a stand-alone brewery and taproom in Washington, DC.

But they’re not even close to being done.

On September 17 Other Half Brewing announced plans for Other Half Domino Park, an experimental brewery set in the Domino Sugar redevelopment site in the Brooklyn’s uber-hip Williamsburg neighborhood that’s scheduled to open in October 2020.

“Domino Park will feature more experimental beverages, small-batch and fruited beers, as well as styles we have not brewed before,” says Sam Richardson. “We’ll be brewing with new hops and yeast strains and are excited to create more on-the-fly beers. Our original Brooklyn location will continue to offer canned beers to go and focus on IPAs, sours and stouts.”

“We’re excited to open a second Brooklyn outpost in Williamsburg in such a picturesque location with an outdoor patio,” says Matt Monahan. “Domino Park is an iconic New York landmark and we’re thrilled be part of the neighborhood’s dynamic restaurant and hospitality community.”

Evil Twin  Brewing Plans New Taproom In Brooklyn

Launched as a “nomadic” operation in 2010, Evil Twin Brewing has grown into one of the world’s most renowned breweries which currently exports to over 35 countries around the globe, and 35 states on the US.

In 2019 its founder Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, along with his wife and business partner Maria, opened its first permanent brewery and taproom in Ridgewood, Queens. And now according to the Commercial Observer Evil Twin has inked a deal to open a second outpost in the Dumbo (yep that’s its name),  a neighborhood in Brooklyn.

“We’re excited to expand to the vibrant Dumbo neighborhood to serve our favorite beers and amazing coffee from Sey to more folks across New York City,” Jarnit-Bjergsø said in a statement. “Our second location will bring our one-of-a-kind experience and tastes to visitors and be a local spot for those that work and live in the area.”
