Evil Twin Brewing Opens In NYC
Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø along with his wife and business partner, Maria has opened the doors to their very first permanent brewery and taproom in Ridgewood, Queens. Evil Twin Brewing New York City features a15-barrel system brewery, a 1,450 square foot urban greenhouse encompassing a 76-seat taproom, as w ell as a 2,200 square foot outdoor courtyard and beer garden.
Evil Twin’s new taproom is outfitted with earth-toned stained plywood, polished cement flooring, and modern finishes and adorned with hanging plants and greenery that further its greenhouse aesthetic. Guests will be able to enjoy Evil Twin’s latest experimental offerings at communal tables that look onto a 185-seat outdoor beer garden decorated with hanging string lights.
Founded by Bjergsø in 2010 as a “nomadic” operation Evil Twin has become a force around the world garnering countless awards and earning its way into world’s best restaurants. In addition to now having a permanent home, Evil Twin Brewing will continue to operate its large-scale production and distribution, which currently exports to over 35 countries around the globe, and 35 states across the country.
Sly Fox to Open 5th Pennsylvania Taphouse
In 2018 the Sly Fox Brewing Company extended its reach with two new pubs based on their Pottstown, Pennsylvania Tasting Room model. In June Sly Fox opened a third taproom at the Knitting Mills in Wyomissing, PA. And this week saw the opening of yet another location in Pittsburgh, adjacent to Point State Park.
And now Sly Fox has announced plans for its fifth location in collaboration with GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, an artist collective in a rehabbed warehouse complete with galleries, event spaces, meeting rooms, a theater, and artist studios.
Located in Reading, PA, The Den by Sly Fox will feature casual seating including a large bar, a restaurant full of communal high tops, a lounge area, and an outdoor courtyard accentuated by open ended entry into a world of visual arts.
Oceanfront Brewery with Rooftop Patio to Open In Virginia Beach
Rhett Rebold, an ex-CIA employee who was named the best homebrewer in the country by the American Homebrewers Association, largely on the strength of a German-style Helles lager that won best in show in 1995, is opening a new beachside brewery according to the Virginia Pilot.
Scheduled to open its doors in November, Vibrant Shore Brewing Company will feature a designer tasting room that will showcase Rebold’s award-winning lager, a rooftop patio and a mural depicting a spiral in the sky and the imposing bust of King Neptune.
