Thanksgiving’s just around the corner and American craft brewers are addressing things with a variety of new offerings that should pair smartly with the season.

Get Curious (Athens, GA) – Creature Comforts Brewing is releasing two new exotics in November as part of its The Curious Series…

Creature Comforts The Curious No. 14 is a fruity, rich and decadently complex, 13.9 % ABV Barleywine that was crafted using a traditional English barley base, all English ingredients, a long boil, and extended maturation in select, small-batch barrels. The beer was aged first in bourbon barrels for eight months, and then in rye barrels for 19 months.

Creature Comforts The Curious No. 15 is a 6.6% ABV celebration of early-season fruit that was aged with whole organic strawberries for 10 months and then bottle conditioned for six months.

Cold Front Coming (Dallas, TX) – Late fall in Texas means one thing — wacky weather as cold fronts cause temperatures to swing from the 60’s to the 30’s and back again. And Lakewood Brewing is returning a beer that commemorates this time of year. Described by Lakewood’s founder Wim Bens, as a “hop bomb  balanced with a rich malty backbone,” Lakewood old Front IPA is a 7.5% ABV India Pale Ale with massive doses of Simcoe hops that give it its dank, piney aroma and a welcome warming finish.

(Hood River, OR) – On Nov 21, Ferment Brewing, an American craft brewery that fuses traditional farmhouse traditions with scientific technique, is releasing its award-winning flagship in special 500ml bottles. Inspired by the brewing traditions of Burton-on-Trent at the turn of the 19th century, Ferment Pale Ale is a 4.5% ABV English-Style Pale Ale with big notes of tea and marmalade and a hint of rose.

Why Wine?  (Hood River, OR) – pFriem has a new fall/winter limited release that they did with their friends at Trisaetum Winery in Oregon. The brewery’s latest foray into the world of wine meets beer, pFriem Druif Rouge is a 7.3% ABV Lambic-Style Ale that was crafted and aged with fresh grapes from Willamette Valley wine country.
