Winter’s coming and American craft brewers are addressing the season with a variety of interesting new beer offerings that pair smartly with cooling weather.
Liquid Aloha (Baltimore, MD) –Heavy Seas Beer will soon be releasing the second beer in its Joose Cannon Series, and its last “taproom-only” offering for 2019. Available in 4packs of 16oz cans as well as on draft at the Heavy Seas Taproom on Friday, November 22, Heavy Seas Froot Joose IPA is a hazier, juicer take on its flagship, Loose Cannon IPA, a variation which the brewery describes as ‘a luau in a can.’ The Joose Cannon label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Owen Murphy, of One Drop Design Studio, who has designed all of the taproom exclusive beer labels in 2019.
Entering New Terrain (Golden, CO ) – New Terrain Brewing recently collaborated with Molly’s Spirits, an innovative Denver beer, wine and spirits retailer to craft their take on a yogurt parfait beer. Brewed with raspberry puree, lemon peel, and an abundance of lactose sugar. Unlikely yet fun, New Terrain Walk In The Parfait is a 5.5% ABV Yogurt Sour (yep that’s a thing) which is parfait-perfect.
A Temptress Comes On to Jack Daniels (Dallas, TX) – Lakewood Brewing is returning a popular “Temptress” exotic in November that’s a nod to Jack Daniels. Lakewood Tennessee Temptress is the brewery’s popular 11.2% ABV Imperial Milk Stout gracefully aged in Jack Daniel’s barrels and then blended with sweet cherries from Oregon.
pFriem’s Looks To New England (Hood River, OR) – Fall is our favorite season and pFriem has the perfect beer to pair with it… A profoundly West Coast spin on the whole New England IPA thing, pFriem Juicy IPA is a 7.2% ABV India Pale Ale with BIG peach and starfruit aromatics and welcome papaya, white grape and orange sherbet notes.
