May is ON and American craft brewers are welcoming the warmer weather with an exciting roster of beers that you’re gonna want to have around this weekend.
California’s #1 Craft Beer (Paso Robles, CA) – If you know beer you’re probably familiar with Firestone Walker’s 805 Blonde Ale. It was originally conceived as a Central Coast California-only year-round release, an every-day anytime beer that immediately caught fire and spread well beyond its uber-local aspirations.
Firestone Walker’s fine team of brewers have been crafting 805 Beer on California’s Central Coast since 2012. Named after Interstate 8O5 which spans California from its central coast region, where Firestone Walker call home, down to the Mexican border, the 805 Blonde Lager is a 4.7 ABV refresher that demands to put down cold.

Time to Get Wicked (Asheville, NC) – One of our favorite breweries, Wicked Weed Brewing is very much on the comeback trail after the devastating floods that brought Ashville to its knees last October. And although the brewery is renowned for its Sour Beer production, they also brew a serious Pilsner that was ten years in development.
Righteously crafted using German malts Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops, Wicked Weed Pils is 5.2% ABV Pilsner with a bright, crisp character that gives way to a soft, pillowy finish.
Seed Of The Universe (Brooklyn, NY) -Brooklyn Brewery has expanded its core portfolio with the nationwide launch of the award-winning beer that’s made with a very special grain that some call the “Seed of the Universe.”

Brewed with a blend of two-row pale malt and fonio, the ancient, climate-resistant West African grain that Brewmaster Garrett Oliver has made his mission to promote, Fonio Rising is fresh and fruity 5% ABV Pale Ale that’s dry-hopped with Strata and Citra.
“Fonio grows in near-desert conditions without chemicals, tilling, or irrigation, while supporting thousands of smallholder farmers,” Oliver said. “With Fonio Rising Pale Ale joining our core lineup, African-grown fonio is finally reaching the mainstream—not just as a sustainable and socially impactful crop, but as an ingredient that makes great tasting beer.”
